Art Deco Diamond and Sapphire Brooch
Platinum & 14K white gold
This exquisite French Art Deco diamond and sapphire brooch, circa 1920, showcases an array of old-cut diamonds (1.58ctw), with the focal point being a central bezel-set diamond. Octagonal motifs are encrusted with diamonds to create a honeycomb pattern, whilst triangular diamond motifs frame both ends of the brooch to further enhance the sense of sophisticated geometry. The brooch is dramatically accented by a border of vibrant blue calibre sapphires totalling 0.20ct, artfully set to create a mesmerising contrast of light and colour. Masterfully handcrafted in platinum & 14K white gold, this piece showcases the craftsmanship and intricate design language of the Art Deco period.
